The traditional amfAR gala dinner, organized as part of the 76th Cannes Film Festival in support of the AIDS Research Foundation, took place at the famous Hôtel du Cap in Antibes. AmfAR, the foundation for AIDS research, is the world’s largest non-profit organization dedicated to supporting AIDS research, HIV prevention, and treatment education. Since 1985, amfAR has invested nearly $600 million in its programs and awarded more than 3,500 grants to research groups around the world. The Swiss jewelry and watch company Chopard acted as the title partner of AmfAR Gala Cannes 2023.

Queen Latifah will host the 2023 AmfAR Gala Cannes. Among the guests of the event: Eva Longoria, Elsa Hosk, Heidi Klum, Coco Rocha, Winnie Harlow, Bianca Balti, Cindy Bruna, Alessandra Ambrosio, who literally blinded the guests of the charity evening with their presence.

Among the particularly interesting lots put up for charity in Antibes: a portrait of Leonardo DiCaprio, created by Damien Hirst, sold for $1.29 million; an Aston Martin sports car auctioned by Eva Longoria for $1.6 million; and a pair of white gold Chopard earrings with diamonds and emeralds that sold for $295,000.
