The Breakthrough Prize’s highest awards are financial grants for breakthroughs in three categories—fundamental physics, biology, and mathematics—with each winner receiving a cash prize of $3 million. The 2023 ceremony awarded a total of $15.75 million to Breakthrough Award recipients.
