The premiere of the film “Tyler Rake: Rescue Operation 2” took place at the Callao City Lights cinema in Madrid. After the success of the first “Tyler Rake,” a continuation of the story is being released, again directed by Sam Hargrave, who became in demand after the successful mystical action film “Atomic Blonde” in 2017 starring Charlize Theron. Chris Hemsworth, Sam Hargrave, Golshifteh Farahani, Olga Kurylenko and Andro Japaridze, who played leading roles in one of the most ambitious Netflix projects of 2023, appeared on the red carpet in front of journalists and photographers.
Hemsworth’s character Tyler Rake is a shadowy mercenary who is part of an underground organization that has enough resources to organize the most crazy operations. Having survived a large-scale battle in Dhaka, Bangladesh in the first part of the film story, the Australian Rake returns to his homeland with serious injuries. However, he and his team face the next mission: the urgent evacuation of a family that is in the grip of a Georgian mafioso. To complete the task, Tyler must infiltrate one of the most dangerous prisons in the world…
After more than a decade dedicated to the god of thunder, Thor, Chris Hemsworth has been cast as a new character who, as it turns out, is destined to have his own saga. The 39-year-old actor’s “Tyler Rake: Rescue 2” manages to retain everything that made the first film successful: electrifying chase sequences, great gunplay sequences, and special effects typical of classic action films.
