4. Inspector Gadget (2024)
The popularity of this franchise came in 1983, thanks to the original animated series DIC Entertainment. Between 1999 and 2003, three films about Inspector Gadget were released, but viewers greeted them without much enthusiasm, like the animated reboot in 2015.
However, in 2019, Vulture released information that Disney was launching a brand new film, Inspector Gadget, which is slated to release sometime between 2021 and 2022.
Apparently, the process of creating a new story about a clumsy “mechanical” policeman turned out to be too complicated, and “Gadget” lingered in a production hell until approximately 2024.
