3. Marjariasana – cat pose
This asana resembles a cat with a curved back. Get on all fours, make sure your arms are straight and your knees are directly under your buttocks. Inhale and arch your back, stretch your belly to the floor, and your head and chin up. As you exhale, round your back “outward” and press your chin to your chest.
Effect: the asana gives flexibility to the back muscles and removes excess volumes from the waist. The pose can be a great alternative to pain relievers for back pain and painful periods.
