5. Dhanurasana – bow pose

This pose resembles a bow with a drawn string. Lie on your stomach and bend your knees. Bring your hands back and grab your ankles. Smoothly move your hands up and lift your knees off the floor, lifting them as high as possible.

Effect: This asana is considered “fat-burning”, it stimulates and strengthens the abdominal muscles. The posture also increases the flexibility of the spine.
