7. He makes you afraid of his reaction.
Love is anything but fear. You shouldn’t be afraid of your partner, ever. You should feel completely safe in his arms, in his presence you should not be afraid to be yourself. You should not be afraid that some of your “wrong” words or actions will cause him a negative reaction, which you would really not want to meet face to face.
You should know that you are always able to rely on your partner – in everything, and you can tell him even the most intimate, without fear that you will be ridiculed or contemptuous. But if in the company of your partner you constantly walk, like through a minefield, and are forced to ponder every word or deed, because you are afraid of his reaction … well, your relationship is very far from full and healthy.
Think about how long ago it started, try to talk to your partner about it, but if he resists any attempts to normalize your relationship, it might be time to start looking for a way to end it safely. The sooner you do this, the better, as it will take you a long time to heal your wounds.
