Home Alone is still one of the favorite New Year and Christmas films around the world.
So when it was announced that Disney + was going to reboot the movie in 2022, the news was received with little enthusiasm. By all accounts, audiences never perceived Home Alone as a film that needed to be redone because it is timeless. But Disney has a different opinion, and it has already been confirmed that filming will begin later this year.
Chris Columbus, the director of the original film, publicly rejected the idea of a reboot, but Macaulay Culkin, who played the main character, Kevin McAllister, does not mind. He will even appear in this new reboot in an unknown role.
