A series about a serial killer who only kills serial killers has taken the world by surprise after it premiered in 2006. However, “Dexter” was also one of the critically acclaimed series with the worst endings.
In October 2020, it was revealed that Showtime was returning the show for a reboot in one season. Some Dexter fans fear that the new series will make a cheap attempt to change the ending and remove all the logic from the story. However, showrunner Clyde Phillips said in an interview with Vulture that the new season will not “play” with the original ending.
